Ayumu Sasaki to start Valencia GP from row 9
Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Ayumu Sasaki was unlucky having to go through Q1 today, as it started to rain slightly just at the beginning of the short session. He improved with each lap, but eventually ended up in P12, which means he will have to start the penultimate round tomorrow at 11:00 local time from the ninth row of the grid.
“It has been a difficult day. In FP3 it was dry in the beginning, but then it started to rain after a few minutes. In Qualifying it was raining as well at the start and in the end, it dried up a bit. So, it wasn’t easy. We couldn’t manage the conditions very well. I’m disappointed, as we are again far back on the grid, which gives us a lot of work for the race, but we will try to do our best tomorrow.”
