Ayumu concludes positive pre-season testing with good feelings
Ayumu Sasaki and teammate Deniz Öncü completed their preparations for the upcoming Moto3 World Championship season today at the Losail International Circuit with an encouraging outcome today.
After working fine-tuning the setup of their KTM machines, both tried some race adjustments during the final session of the official IRTA test in order to be fully set the first round of 2021, the Grand Prix of Qatar, which kicks off in just a few days with Free Practice one at 13:50 local time (11:50 CET) on Friday.
“Today has been another good day. We improved the bike again. In the end, we finished P16. Compared to what we had and where we improved, I think we could have finished a little bit better results-wise, but this was only the test. In the end, there was a big group, so I tried to ride alone in order to understand the bike better. Many people have been looking for fast lap times in the last outing and I wasn’t, so I think we are quite ok. I’m very happy about today and very confident for the race weekend. The team worked very well, we improved the bike so much compared to day one, so I want to thank them for their hard work. We need to be one step ahead if we want to fight for the top, so we will try to reach this from Friday on.”
