Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Ayumu Sasaki was never outside the top 4 in all practice sessions this weekend and even managed to improve his second fastest time yesterday in FP3 this morning by 0.370 seconds to end up in P2 again. On his way to snatch a decent starting position, the Japanese rider unfortunately went down in Qualifying two, which left him in P17.

“It was a very difficult Qualifying. The session was super crazy, although I did a mistake by myself. I was on my own and had two laps remaining. I knew I needed to do a decent lap time, but I crashed. It was a bit disappointing. Now we have to start from P17, just need to focus for tomorrow. We know we have a good pace, although we didn’t do it today. It’s a real shame, but I have to look forward, so hopefully we can have a good race tomorrow.”
