With a difficult Qualifying Ayumu Sasaki was starting the British GP just from P17, but found himself inside the third group battling it out for P10. He even went back to 19th at some stage of the race, but found his fighting spirit with five laps to go to eventually finish in P13, limiting the damage with three championship points.

“It has been a very difficult weekend. We started very well, but crashed in Qualifying. That was my fault. Then we started from the back and on this track, it’s super difficult to come back. I had a similar pace to the top 5, but I was too far down, also I couldn’t find a way through to the front in the beginning of the race. In the end, I was waiting until four, five laps to go, where we managed to go towards the front of the group. Finally, it’s not so bad, considering we had a big fight. Although we finished inside the points, it was a very disappointing race. We wanted way more, now we need to analyze everything. But we are very motivated for Aragon, as this has been the best round last year.”
