Ayumu Sasaki, who was in P15 at the end of the first session this weekend as the Aragon GP gets underway lowered his lap time in the hot afternoon by 0.962 seconds and therewith managed to make up two positions in order to make it to the overnight Q2 positions by the end of day one, eager to further move forward in FP3 tomorrow morning at 9.00 local time.

“It was a decent opening day. Results-wise I guess it’s ok. My feeling is ok as well, but we have to improve in a few places tomorrow. At the moment we are four tenths off from Deniz, but if we manage to improve the points I have in mind, I think we can be there at the front as well. There’s not so much to worry about, but there are definitely things we have to change. I think we can make another step tomorrow morning, go straight to Q2 and hopefully have a good Qualifying.”
