Ayumu takes eighth in the #EmiliaRomagnaGP

Following a rainy weekend, Sunday welcomed the Moto3 World Championship with mixed conditions in Warm Up and a dry track for the race in Misano. Thereby, Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Ayumu Sasaki had a decent start from P10 on the grid and was fighting close to the top throughout the first part of the race. He delivered some passes and eventually saw the chequered flag in eighth position.

“It has been a difficult race, we have been riding on the dry for the first time this week. Fortunately, we had a race here some weeks ago, so we were using almost the same setting as last time here. In the beginning of the race, I was calm and was confident with the bike, which was positive. Many other riders have been pushing a lot in the beginning, but I could manage to stay in the top 10. From the middle of the race, I started to struggle a bit with the rear tyre. It was actually the first time this year this happened, so we have to check it. Something was positive, but towards the end it was more difficult. We learned many things, still have two races to go. This is not, where I want to finish, so I look forward to hopefully be able to fight for the podium in Portimao.”
