DNF for Ayumu in the #BritishGP

 In News

Today’s British GP Moto3 round was a crazy race in which Ayumu unfortunately fell whilst fighting in a very tight race-long battle for the front positions.

Ayumu was very fast throughout: The Japanese rider has always fought in the leading positions and in different situations he also led the race. Sadly he made a mistake two laps from the end, when he was fighting for the podium. Unfortunately, Ayumu arrived long at the sixteen corner, hitting the wheel of S. Garcia who preceded him. Because of the impact, the two riders both fell. While Garcia promptly got up, Ayumu stood still for a few moments, resting on his side. They were minutes of great apprehension, but he thankfully moved and was taken away with the stretcher. At the time of writing, Ayumu’s medical examinations showed no problems.

Because of this error Ayumu in Austria will have to serve two Long Lap Penalty. Really a shame, in fact today there were the conditions and the speed needed to make both our drivers hit the Top Ten. In the world ranking Ayumu slips to sixth place.
